About Me

My name is Chinnipha Pengpring (She/Her/Hers). I am a 4th year health science student at California State University, Long Beach. I am expected to earn a Bachelor of Science in Health Science with my emphasis in Community Health Education in Spring 2021. My passion and commitment lies in advocating for the health of underserved communities of color and serving with cultural humility. My topic of interests are inclusive sex education, mental health, low income communities and minority health.
Currently, I am a research assistant for the Healthy Balance Research Lab on campus focusing on the health of Latino children, seeking to understand factors which affect children's sleep and its influence on obesity. Additionally, I am a research volunteer for Aorticology, a non-profit in Huntington Beach. My work is focused on researching and producing health educational material surrounding Aortic health, especially aortic dissection and aneurysm. Lastly, I am an Tobacco Education Promotion and Prevention intern at the Long Beach Department of Health & Human Services. Here I focus in advocating for the health of Long Beach diverse communities through providing tobacco education and community engagement.
In my free time, I love watching the sunset at the end of the day and exploring new cultures through food. Thank you for stopping by!!
